Taranaki Retreat

Our Hard Working Electricians have all been spending time at the Taranaki Retreat construction site & are taking great pride in helping out with this important community project.

The team at Switched Electrical chose to support Jamie and Suzy in this massive task because we appreciated the fact that the Retreat is being built by Taranaki people, and it stands for a great cause. We have been liaising with Jamie and Suzy throughout the process to ensure that all their needs are met. It was important that energy efficient heating and lighting was used and that we future proofed the dwelling.

Here are a few of the electrical tasks that we have been working on at the Taranaki Retreat:

Liaising with key suppliers to help secure electrical products and cable at great community rates.

Organising the upgrade and replacement of the road transformer. Running the mains cable from the road to the main site.

Co-ordinating with the main foreman on site to ensure everything is running smoothly. Re-wiring the main dwelling (which had been moved onto the site), which is to be used for the communal gathering space. We also installed power for the water reticulation and effluent disposal and installed sub mains for the future guest house development.

We are looking forward to working again with Jamie, Suzy and the Taranaki Retreat team , and supporting further developments. Watch this space!
